A Cut Above The Rest

F. W. Noyce and Sons are a family business established in 1960 - a specialist contractor and trade supplier with a vision of dedication to innovation and commitment to hard work combined with expert knowledge and experience. Recently we have expanded our operation installing a Swedish Water jet cutting machine. This installation has brought superb operational advantages and allowed us to expand our Sub-contract service to profile cutting allowing us to cut materials beyond the boundaries offered by conventional technology. Our equipment is able to cut virtually any 2D shape from virtually any material with high precision and without distortion.

Southampton Waterjet uses cutting edge technology supported by a CAD/CAM system. This enables our customers to have profiles cut for artwork and non-dimensional shapes or they can supply files for input using compatible formats (D.X.F/D.W.G) allowing us to cut the most complex profiles for engineering and architectural uses.

We offer Water only cutting and Abrasive waterjet cutting, each application has superb characteristics and advantages. We have a large machine with Twin head technology and technical staff that you can consult on the correct method to suit your needs. Be it one-off prototypes to large scale high volume productions. Along with flexible and extended working hours to meet urgent demands. From rubber to titanium, from basic to high precision complex profiles Southampton Waterjet will strive to offer a clear cut solution.

WaterJet cutting technology is the fastest growing major machine tool process in the world. The flexible process either replaces or compliments other technologies such as milling, laser, EDM, plasma and routers. No noxious gases or liquids are used in WaterJet cutting, and WaterJets do not create hazardous materials or vapours. No heat effected zones or mechanical stresses are left on a WaterJet cut surface. It is a really versatile, productive, cold cutting process.

WaterJet cutting can be used on a vast array of materials in a variety of ways not typically seen in the industry. At Southampton WaterJet, we are expert at on using WaterJets as an artistic tool for many architectural applications. Artistic lines and intricate designs can easily be cut in hard materials such as marble, tile, stainless steel, and glass in thicknesses that cannot be cut any other way.

We specialise in the water jet cutting of aluminium, stainless steel, copper, brass, special metals, such as titanium, hardox and tantalum, plastics, rubber and wood. We provide cutting services for many industrial sectors including precision engineering, aerospace, marine and automotive, as well as architectural sectors such as sign makers, public art, architectural metal work and sculpture. WaterJet cutting technology is the real alternative to laser cutting, plasma cutting, milling and conventional machining.
